Chocolate Crinkle Cookies Recipe

I baked these cookies for the first time last week.  My friend made them a few months ago and they were so delicious!  My sister recently made them too so I got the recipe from her.  I had a cookie party Saturday so I wanted to try something different, since I thought everybody elses go-to cookies would be chocolate chip cookies, which are my favorite to bake.  These taste like brownies!

I’ve attached a screenshot of the ingredients/ recipe below (bakes ≈ 18 cookies).  Bake it at 350° for 10 minutes — pretty standard for cookies.

I made a batch on Thursday morning, but I think I left my dough out of the fridge too long before I popped it into the oven since it wasn’t very hard.  I also sprinkled the confectioners sugar on top of the cookie dough instead of rolling the dough in it.  I believe these two, together, made my cookies come out rounder with not many “crinkles.”

On Friday, I baked another batch with the rest of the dough and this time I made sure to roll the dough in the confectioners sugar before I popped it into the oven.  It turned out much better with the crinkles! =)  I also like to sprinkle some more confectioners sugar if it looks not so white after, but I do this right when it is out of the oven so it stays on better.  But if you are in doubt on how much sugar to roll the dough in, be generous — better safe than sorry. 😉
