Last night [3.2.15], I wanted to try something different for dinner so I took a stab at lettuce cups, but not the traditional chicken Asian style ones, I went with a healthier turkey version. I browsed online to see how other people season the turkey part, but if you’ve read my other recipes, you would know by now I’m a lazy cook. I like to keep my ingredients simple.
K.I.S.S. — Keep it simple stupid 😛
Ingredients:
◊ Ground turkey (two fistful or so)
◊ Lettuce
◊ Green bell pepper (half of one)
◊ White mushroom (half of one)
◊ Salt, pepper, soy sauce (just a dash of each, flavor to taste)
Recipe:
- Wash and chop the bell pepper and mushroom into small bits. Wash the lettuce too.
- Oil pan on high heat. Saute the chopped bell pepper and mushroom with salt, pepper, and soy sauce.
- Remove from pan. Oil. Cook the ground turkey. Add salt & pepper. When it’s about done, add the vegetables back in to mix together.
- It’s done and ready to be cupped in the lettuce to eat!
Simple, right? My way obviously isn’t going to be the best you’ve ever had due to flavoring, but I thought it was a pretty good place to start.
