Yup, I’m back. I have a friend in town from the East Coast so we came here one morning [Wednesday, 1.14.15] before I headed off to work. Like I said before, everytime I come here, it looks different. This time, was one of the most beautiful visits I have ever been here. The hill was a luscious green landscape. I have never seen the hill like this before. The grass everywhere was green and grown; the rain transformed this hill from desert dirt to a vibrant green hill.
On a clear day, you can see the Hollywood Sign… and that was the first time I have been able to clearly see it. It’s hard to tell in the pictures still, but you can notice this small, horizontal white line right above the tall SBE building in the mountain. Look carefully. Also, since the grass was green everywhere, you can clearly see the stairs and trails in the pictures… doesn’t that make for a much nicer pic than others I’ve posted?! 🙂 Oh, and I also noticed you can see LAX from the trail! You’ll see something longer poking up and out in one of the labeled pictures. Amazing how much more you see on a clear, sunny day huh…☀️ By the way these pictures have no filter! Check back at my other pics for the Culver City stairs to see the difference in the landscape!
We planned to meet at 8:15am but my friend failed to wake me up and I did not realized the time until just after 8. Luckily, my friend lives around the corner from here. The hike itself was the same. We went two rounds: stairs up, different trails down. We were here for only 45 mins, 8:30am – 9:15 pm, and grabbed a quick brunch bite at Lyfe Kitchen after. The food was ok. Not great. Not bad. But I would not order it again. My freshly squeezed apple juice was very tasty though… that, I would order again.
